Following the record attendance of our AGM last month, DOCRRA wishes to thank the Dolphin Coast community for their interest and support of our mission. It was wonderful to see the Pavilion Room at Simbithi Country Club so packed that there was standing room only. Thanks to Simbithi for making their venue available to us and for their wonderful catering, and support of their staff.
We also want to thank the many individuals who interacted with our executive committee members with membership inquiries, questions and offers of collaboration. The past few weeks have been a flurry of activity of following up on these interactions and we are pleased to say that we have seen significant membership growth as a result.
DOCRRA extends a special ‘thank you’ to Malcolm Kensett of Ballito, whose letter to the editor of the North Coast Courier was published last week. He highlighted not only the need for community support through DOCRRA membership, but also the important role DOCRRA plays in providing a platform for people to come together and tackle the issues at hand.
To quote Malcolm, “taking care of our community is a team effort and now is the time for all of us to get off our sofas…your help is needed.”
