Dolphin Coast Outreach provides the most basic need to the North Coast
A total of almost R1.2 million worth of soup, and other items, have been donated to well-established organisations for distribution.
The ‘Soup Initiative’ started when the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund and Karen Doveton of Brettenwood combined to create the Soup-a-Heroes initiative which donated almost 24 000 litres of homemade soup during lockdown.
Following the remarkable success of Soup-a-Heroes, the Dolphin Coast Outreach (DCO) – which is a division of the Dolphin Coast Residents and Ratepayers Association (DOCRRA) – began in September 2020.
