After 16 months of continuous operation, we are pleased to announce that Dolphin Coast Outreach (DCO), the charitable arm of DOCRRA, has reached the incredible milestone of producing and distributing over 40,000 litres of soup which equates to approximately 160,000 meals with a cost value of ~R1,000,000.
None of this would be possible without the tireless support of our soup-makers who continue to churn out dozens of litres of delicious and nutritious soup that is made with love every week. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to them, as well as our beneficiary partners; when we work together towards a common goal, we can truly accomplish amazing things.
In addition to soup, DCO has also collected donations of bed linen, towels, wheelchairs, clothing, baby formula, and more, which has been distributed as well.
Before disposing of second-hand goods, please reach out to us, as your discarded item may be a Godsend for someone else. As the weather begins to change, and the temperature starts to drop, there will be a greater need for soup than ever.
Soup is collected weekly, on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10:00 AM, in the underground parking area of Tiffany’s shopping area. Alternate arrangements can also be made should this time not be suitable.
If you would like to donate soup or any other items, please contact Deon Viljoen on 082 558 8788 or Megan Viljoen on 082 458 8811 or email us at admin@docrra.co.za
