Deon Viljoen has decided to step down as chairman after tirelessly serving this role for five years. DOCRRA has grown substantially and blossomed under his leadership and vision. His ability to motivate, inspire and manage a team has been instrumental in the progress we have made. Thankfully he will remain on our executive committee as vice chairman and with his wife Megan continue coordinating the very successful Dolphin Coast Outreach program. We wish to express our gratitude and thanks to Deon for the time and effort he has put towards our growth and success in influencing the wins we have achieved for our Dolphin Coast area.
DOCRRA is pleased to announce that Brian Botes will be taking over the chairmanship for the next year after serving as vice chairman in the previous year. As a charted accountant, Brian has brought his expert skill set to tackle the review and analysis of KDM financials and his insight has been invaluable. He has also created important relationships with key people within both KDM and other civil organisations and has diligently attended council meetings, MPAC meetings and other KDM proceedings. We are absolutely delighted to have him taking this leadership role.
Further, our thanks go out to Flip Helberg and Penny Fourie for their many years of service on our executive committee as they will be stepping down. Both Flip and Penny have contributed so much with their unique skills and we are grateful to have had their expertise and commitment to DOCRRA. Thankfully they have offered to still be available to us on a consultancy basis and assistance on our various sub-committees.
DOCRRA remains well led, DOCRRA is in excellent hands, DOCRRA goes from strength to strength.
