“Our Chairman, Deon Viljoen, along with Faith Govender (Head of the Trauma Unit) … and of course Dave Charles of 88fm Radio Life & Style. Thanks for having us on your show to discuss this exciting project Dave!”

As part of its strategic plan, DOCRRA will play an increasingly active and influential role for the many existing and new social investment initiatives taking place within the Dolphin Coast.

As a first initiative, DOCRRA has been requested to assist with the organization of the upliftment of the Umhlali Police Station (internally and externally) and its surrounding environment.

We were approached by volunteers from the Umhlali SAPS Trauma Centre, and Helping Hands, to assist them in encouraging volunteers, suppliers and service providers to participate in this endeavour and to help co-ordinate the event.

Purpose and Goal – to show the SAPS that the residents from the Dolphin Coast area appreciate what they do for us, and to help strengthen the morale of the police officers who serve us. We plan to improve their working environment, and at the same time improve the facilities for the people they serve.

This will entail improving the conditions of the building, workspaces, parking, signage, as well as the appearance of the police station.

In honour of Nelson Mandela, we are appealing for the following:

Whist we would prefer your contributions in kind, including your labour and materials, financial donations, for the above, will also be welcomed and will be managed as a dedicated fund for this event in the DOCRRA account with a report back after the event.
