After analysing a mountain of financial information, and attending presentations and Council meetings, the DOCRRA Committee had no alternative but to take the unprecedented step of rejecting the draft KDM budget for 2021/2022.
A summarised response to the budget was submitted, by DOCRRA, by the due date of 30th April, with a request for consultation to discuss the detailed concerns that DOCRRA has.
The 25% discount on the new property valuations and zero % increase on the randage does not go far enough and is not applied equitably. Apart from a number of other concerns, the nearly 10% budget increase is not sensible, nor fair.
A copy of the budget response, DOCRRA submitted to KDM, is available to our current members, on request, by emailing the request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
