After analysing a mountain of financial information, and attending presentations and Council meetings, the DOCRRA Committee had no alternative but to take the unprecedented step of rejecting the draft KDM budget for 2021/2022.
A summarised response to the budget was submitted, by DOCRRA, by the due date of 30th April, with a request for consultation to discuss the detailed concerns that DOCRRA has.
The 25% discount on the new property valuations and zero % increase on the randage does not go far enough and is not applied equitably. Apart from a number of other concerns, the nearly 10% budget increase is not sensible, nor fair.

The voluntary team at DOCRRA keeps a watchful eye and diligently works in the interest of the Dolphin Coast Community and its members.
We, DOCRRA, will continue to promote and protect the interests of all residents and ratepayers within the jurisdiction of the Dolphin Coast area. However, the more community representation and support we have, the more influence we have. Therefore, we urge you to become a member of DOCRRA.
